7 Ways Banks Can Use Pinterest
After examining the website, Corporate Insight said Thursday that it found seven financial themes for which companies could use Pinterest to increase their digital presence. These themes were retirement, savings and investment goals, credit card rewards, lifestyle, corporate mascots, contests and charitable giving.

Banks and Pinterest Go Together Like Lamb and Tuna Fish
Corporate Insight, a financial services consulting firm, believes that banks can use Pinterest to promote their brand. But putting a bank on Pinterest is like trying to force a conversation between your mom and your banker — about cupcakes.

Why Pinterest Should Matter to Banks
At its core, Pinterest is an online window shopping experience that is influencing the way in which people shop. From style trends to cake decorating, Pinterest can potentially link consumers to their new favorite boutiques, blogs or restaurants and boost sales for merchants. And that's what is key when banks are reviewing how the new consumer site may impact them, too.

Banks take first tentative Pinterest steps
Another day, another social media tool for banks to get their heads around and (like it or not) we think that Pinterest is one that really does deserve their attention. … So, banks should probably use the site but how they do so is a tougher call.

Are banks and credit unions ready for Pinterest?
Social media can be an effective business tool, but only if social media efforts are tied to measurable business objectives. In the case of Pinterest, it is still too soon to include this channel in your marketing efforts. Keep it on the radar, but hold onto those pins for a little while longer.

Should Financial Institutions Show Interest In Pinterest?
Through the lens of these four key marketing objectives, we can now pose the question: Should banks and credit unions show interest in Pinterest? The answer is clearly: No, not today.

Banks and Square Pin Down a Strategy for Pinterest
Pinterest, the photo-clipping social network, may be the next step for banks and payment companies seeking to add a visual kick to their mobile, tablet and online marketing strategies.

Pinterest Creeps Into the Picture for Financial Institutions
But how can Pinterest help financial institutions promote their services? Banco Sabadell in Spain and State Bank & Trust in Georgia might be providing the blueprint for banks to follow. ... Banks such as Bank of America already have taken full advantage of Facebook’s new Timeline format. And card brands such as American Express continue to drive interaction through Twitter. Pinterest is just sitting there at midfield waiting for someone to take the ball and run with it.

3 Reasons Why Pinterest, the Fastest Growing Site EVER, Could Be Huge for Banking
1. Advertising
2. Payments
3. The Network Effect
These three reasons could be profound for banking -- the only problem is scant ventures use Pinterest today for advertising products well beyond fashion or art; only a handful of banks are playing on Pinterest today; and there is no e-commerce mechanism to speak of on Pinterest right now. (It appears as though Pinterest is starting to extract revenue from e-commerce referrals, but there is no confirmation of this from Pinterest to date.) When it comes to banking, Pinterest today is about potential. And web traffic. Lots and lots of web traffic.

1 Bedenking(en) :
